Month of packing.
Logistics are essential to the success of the MARGO project. Throughout September, over three tonnes of equipment (instruments, laboratory equipment, etc.) were packed in the various laboratories. Under the supervision of the Polar Institute, some of this equipment will be loaded onto a container ship and taken to Reunion Island, where it will be loaded onto the Marion Dufresne during the supply voyages to the Kerguelen Islands in November and December. This equipment will be used for MARGO_LAND and MARGO_BAY operations. Another part of the equipment will leave a little later on another container ship to Reunion Island, where it will be loaded onto the Marion Dufresne in early January for the MARGOCEAN campaign.
