A productive meeting
The meeting was hosted by CEREGE in Aix en Provence and organized by Déborah Verfaillie. An update was given on the progress of the MARGO project during 2024. A year that has seen an intense program of field operations: MARGOLAND-MARGOBAY-MARGOCEAN. Presentations (to be found in the space dedicated to the project) illustrated the various scientific works in progress. Scientific outreach activities were also discussed.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to take a crash course in mass spectrometry on the Neptune or the impressive ASTER used during MARGO to determine concentrations of chlorine or berylium isotopes in the glacial moraines of Kerguelen.
